Short NOTD

I am starting netball tomorrow night so I had to cut my nails short :( If you know me then you know it is a sad time as I love my pretty long nails. But I am going to prove that you can have pretty short nails too! So here is my first attempt. Simple to achieve as well!

First I used No.7 So Smooth Base Coat. Then two coats of Models Own Lilac Dream. To give it a bit of edge I added Barry M Instant Nail Effects to give it the crackled look. Then finished off with No.7 Stay Perfect Top Coat. It only took about 10 minutes, each layer dried quite quickly.

What do you think? To let you know what I think, I'll be reviewing the Barry M Instant Nail Effects tomorrow :D

Front Cover FOTD

It's been so long! I'm really sorry but moving is a lot of hassle, but it will all be worth it come 4th March!! So excited. But that does not stop me being excited about make up. I bought the Front Cover GO!GO!GO! eyeshadow palette. I very rarely use blue shades, but the blues in this are astounding. So shimmery and beautiful.

I used:

FACE

No.7 Shine Free Primer
No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Almond
No.7 Perfect Light Loose Powder in Medium
New ID Concealer in Medium
New ID I-Glow in Ice Pop

EYES

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Front Cover eyeshadow in Azimuth - eyelid
Front Cover eyshadow in Moondust - outer corner
Front Cover eyeshadow in Silver Dollar - highlight
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Electric - lower waterline
Rimmel Kohl Eye Pencil in black - upper waterline
No.7 Exquisite Curl Mascara in black

LIPS

No.7 Spring Collection Lipstick in Grace
Avon Extreme Glazewear Gloss in Sandshine

There's a lot of prodcuts in that list, but I've missed make up so much! ALthough there's quite a few products I feel you just need a quick sweep of things the more you use, so it won't look piled on. So this probably only took 10 minutes. Normally I'm not sure that blue eyeshadow looks right on me - but I must admit - I love this!

Thanks for reading - hope you're glad to have me back xoxo

Models Own Haul

I already own a few nail polishes by Models Own and whilst I wanted more I thought it would also be good to try a few of their other products. As you may be aware, I had a Models Own Giveaway, this is what I bought at the same time as picking stuff out for you guys :)

Clockwise from top left -

Nail varnishes: Becca's Brown, Vintage Pink, Lilac Dream, Pastel Pink, Cherry Pie, Lime Green and Red Alert
Eye shadow: Brown & Gold sparkle, Emerald Green, Pale Jade, Bright Grass, Gold, Orangeade, Hot Red, Purple Sky and Bright Turquoise
Eye Pencils: Peacock Green and Neon Hot Pink

I love that Models Own give you discounts when buying multiples of 3 or 5 products! Also when the delivery took a long time to get to me they apologised and sent a complimentary nail polish - Pastel Pink! How lovely of them :)

So far I have enjoyed using; Cherry Pie nail varnish, Peacock Green eye pencil, Pale Jade and Emerald Green eyeshadows. Details of which to follow this weekend!! :D xoxo

And the winner is...

Maribel F. is the lucky winner of my Models Own blog - I have sent you an email!!
Thanks to everyone else for participating and I hope to have a new giveaway soon. Perhaps when I get to 75 followers, so spread the word :)

Once again thank you all for following and I truly hope my posts make a difference. I will start blogging more often again soon - now that I am less stressed!! Take care xoxo

Sorry...

I know I have been slack the last few weeks, so here is my apology. My excuse is having to find a place to live otherwise I would be homeless!! My partner and I have found a lovely 3 bedroom cottage to live in and we move on the 4th March! Excited - you should be - I am having the room in the loft as my dedicated blogger room! I will put a white sheet up and ensure there is lots of light and start filming more videos.

Let me know if there's anything you want to see....??

What made you start your makeup blog?

In the last few years I suddenly found I had an increased interest in trying new make up products. I then started following other bloggers on YouTube and their blogs. Last year I realised my interest in make up had led to my make up collection becoming so big I needed to buy a large set of drawers to fit it all in! I've thoroughly enjoyed blogging and hope that it'shelpful and interesting to someone out there. I always welcome comments and make up tips! I'm moving house soon and will hopefully start creating a few more YouTube videos. xoxo

Boring Brown NOTD...

I'm not sure why I've titled this boring - as it isn't to me, but when you say brown nails, it does kinda sound a bit boring, right? Anyway - see the pictures below and decide for yourself :D

This is Becca's Brown after two coats - although I'm not sure who Becca is...it's mine now.

I think it's a great look for this time of year. Not too dull but also quite neutral at the same time, and the browns go well with the weather, very dreary at the moment and brown to me is kind of dreary I suppose - except it doesn't make my nails look dreary which is good!

Anyway I might jazz it up a bit with some nail art stamps tomorrow, but for now it's time for bed :D

Thanks for reading xoxo
