Hiya everyone, hope you had a lovely new year and are ready to get back to reality? I have a December favourite post coming up soon! But for now I will show you what I recently bought whilst on a Christmas sales shopping trip.
It was still 3 for 2 on cosmetics in Superdrug - I love that it includes palettes! I checked out the Sleek collection, and what do you know - they have the sparkle set in stock! They also had one other Sleek palette (Sunset) I didn't have so I got that too. Then thought I would check out the Max Factor and L'oreal stands for my free item. It's always best to get the expensive items free :) Dave also helped me choose - it's no surprise he wanted me to get the Queen Bee eyeshadow trio because of it's bright colours.
I can't wait to get some glitter on my eyes tomorrow for my first day back at work! I haven't had time to have a play with any yet, but I have many new products to use this month! My bedroom is almost completely organised so I won't even have an excuse anymore!
Hope you're all ok! x

MUA Haul
So my partner got a PS3 yesterday and I got make up, fair deal? Probably not. The make up I chose was from Superdrug, by brand MUA. This was the only beauty shop we needed to go past in order to get back from Argos to our house. The items were reduced to £1 each so I picked up 20!!
I went through all 20 shades of eyeshadow and these are pretty much all the ones I liked, I also thought they went well together in the groups of four I placed them in for the photos, so I now have my custom built MUA quads :)
I already had the majority of shades of nail polish they did so didn't purchase any. I wasn't too keen on the colours they had for their glitter dust, they don't compare to the bright shades of Barry M. I saw bright green and blue mascara, but thought I probably wouldn't end up wearing it so instead bought a few more liquid eyeliners - I really must start wearing these more now that I have over 10 different colours. I also bought a clear mascara which I have been contemplating purchasing for a while, but hadn't come across one I was drawn to. But this was just too tempting to refuse!

New ID Studios in London
Last Friday I treated myself and my mum to a deluxe makeover and photoshoot in Oxford Circus, London. We arrived at 11am and were given some Bucks Fizz, then had our hair washed, cut, blow dried and styled. We then had our make up consultation and application. I purchased a few bits for myself and for my mum whilst we were waiting for our photographer.
We had 3 outfit changes, 1 casual and 2 dresses. I bought all the photos as a present to my mum, she'd never done anything like this and she looked amazing!! She realised she had never been shopping for clothes in London before either, unfortunately we only left New ID at 4.30 so only managed to visit Topshop, H&M, Jane Norman and Dorothy Perkins before getting our 6.30 train home. I did manage to spend about another £200 though! We only live once eh!
This is how one of my pictures came out:
The make up I bought is below:-
New ID I-Perfect Colour Adjust Foundation in Vanilla
New ID I-Conceal Brush On Fluid Concealer in Medium
New ID I-Glow Shimmer Powder with Mirror in Ice Pop
New ID I-Bronze Compact Powder Bronzer with Mirror in Rio
New ID I-Shadow Eye Shadow Quad with Mirror in Choca Mocha
Free New ID I-Shimmer Shimmer Stick with Blending Sponge in Sherbert.
Total cost £107.50
Pretty expensive day, but I don't do it often! Is there anything you've spent a lot on this month??

Models Own Haul
Today all my Models Own goodies arrived, woooo!! I used the free delivery service so was very glad when I found out they send their items first class.
I was also quite impressed with the packaging, a lovely black envelope with my order details inside.
All nail varnishes were neatly packed in twos, in little bubble wrap parcels.
This little black eye pencil came free, as this was my first order with Models Own. The pencil even has its own sharpener! Genius.
These nail polishes look just as fantastic in real life as they did on the website - I can't wait to try them out! The one that probably surprised me most was Deep Purple, I didn't know it was going to be a black/purple duo chrome, but I don't have any polishes like that so I'm really glad.
Have you had any pleasant surprises from Models Own products, or any other products for that matter?
Are there any nail polishes you can't wait to try for Autumn??

No.7 Boots Haul - Payday
Ok, so long story cut short. I had 5 No.7 £5 off vouchers to use and bought 5 products in Boots. WIth my last purchase I got another voucher but thought I would save it til I had a bit more cash. Then I remembered that Abbey sent me a new bank card the other day - even though I thought I had closed my account - so as I had a day off, with not much to do, I popped in to see if there was any money in the account.
SCORE £52.93 - I went back to Boots to buy some more No.7. Overall I spent £52.13, about £45 on No.7. At the moment you get a free gift when you spend £22 on No.7, and because I was doing all my items in separate transactions I knew I wasn't entitled to this, however I was about to leave after my second purchase and the lady chucked the free gift into my bag!! SCORE!! I was so happy when I left I had to phone Dave - my fiancé - to tell him all about it!

Shiro Cosmetics
Ooooo my Shiro Cosmetics order arrived, and within 5 days, can you believe it!! I was so excited when I saw it I started picturing colour combos. Hopefully so will you when you see the pictures.
What I thought was different, apart freom the colours being name after pokemon, was the amount of care Caitlin takes to make your order look pretty. (see pic below) She also includes a personalised hand written note on the back of the Shiro Cosmetics business card which I thought was really sweet.
For £9.49 ($12 + $1.50 shipping) for all the samples I woulnd't have been too disappointed if I didn't like the colours as much as when I saw them on Becky's blog (http://www.sirvinya.com/). You all know what it's like when you see make up on screen, then in real life and it can be very different.
I loved every single colour, and the two free extra samples I was sent (Gengar & Meowth).
I tried out a look using 3 colours to start off with for work, I didn't want it to be too overpowering, but from looking at the range of colours I would say you can get any look you like from these shades.
Overall I find that these shadows are quite pigmented and apply easily, the only problem is I now want to buy the full size pots of every colour!! I may have to spend some time choosing my favourites as I'm not sure I can afford all of them. If you have ordered anything from Shiro, I'd be really interested in what you thought.
