Here is my pink look for today, although I'm not sure I'll have time to change it up tomorrow like the other dedicated ladies. I've still got a bit of cleaning up to do around the nails but I'll cheat and do it in the hot water after I've washed up. I used Models Own - Pastel Pink, 2 coats were needed as it is quite a sheer polish. I also used a black rhinestone on each thumbnail to jazz it up a little bit.
Hope you like! :) It was my first time using my stamps again for a while, as you can probably tell, some are quite blurry/smudged. It took a bit of getting used to but I hope to be doing more shortly!! xoxo

Updated: Models Own Green Flash
I thought I'd bring you more pictures showing how I updated the mani with black nail art.
They look a bit like little snowflakes to me - except they're black. It's cold out - but still a bit too early for snow!

Bongo Beat Nails
When I first saw this shade of nail polish I thought it would be my dupe of Peacock Green by Models Own, to stop me buying it, but I ordered it yesterday - hopefully it will arrive soon. My partner said that Peacock green had slightly more blue in it...so if he says they are different colours I can definitely justify having both!!
Peacock Green
In the mean time I decided to use Bongo Beat for a nail design using my art deco stamps, as I have been wanting to do a 2 colour stamp for a while. This colour makes both black and white stand out so it was the perfect choice.
I thought I would do something a bit different so I've also used a silver glitter by art deco for my nail tips. What do you think??

Night Out Nails
I bought a few new nail varnishes the other day, only 3 for £5 in Superdrug - Collection 2000. I got Wham, Teeny Bikini and Bongo Beat. I liked the way wham and teeny bikini went together so decided to use an art deco stamp in black and white.
I really liked the colour of wham, but it required 3 coats to make it opaque. Shame it would use up a lot of nail varnish this way, but the overall finish was very satisfying. Sometimes the nail varnish can dry bubbly when you apply a few coats.
The teeny bikini seemed to get better with more coats, I used three to match wham, but you could easily leave it with one coat.
The art deco went on very easily, it hardly even smudged when applying a top coat, which quite often happens.

My Neon Nails
I hadn't used my Saffron neon nail varnishes yet so I already knew that I wanted to test one out. My fiance chose this blue colour, out of pink, green, orange, yellow and purple. It took three coats to get the blue looking as bold as this otherwise it was quite sheer. I'm not sure it looks really neon either...hopefully when I test some of the others they will be a lot brighter!
I thought that the black art deco stamp would go well on top. In the picture I only did my thumbnail but have since done the rest - this was done on my lunch break at work :)
I'm tempted to put another one of the same design on but in white...any thoughts?

Sophie's Giveaway - My Prize
I won a £5 ASOS voucher from Sophie's blog giveaway, and with it I purchased a Models Own Slate Green nail polish. I was so excited about this, I had no idea ASOS did Models Own. Shame I opted for the 6 day super saver free delivery. Although it did only take a week to arrive, and we had a bank holiday in between, so not bad at all.
I fell in love with this colour the moment I saw it. And even more so once I had it on. I applied two coats, as it is quite a sheer colour. I applied a matte top coat and it looks like this:
Unfortunately, I added the Art Deco stamps on my lunch break today, but forgot to take a top coat to work with me, so they have rubbed off slightly, I'm sure you can tell.
I will be re-doing them at some point, perhaps tomorrow lunch time - but I will remember the top coat.
Tonight I am off out to Frankie & Benny's for dinner with my girlfriends!! Have a good evening everyone.

My First Nail Tutorial
I've wanted to do a video tutorial on Youtube for a while, so yesterday I filmed myself whilst painting my nails. As it's just a tester I've added music to it instead of me speaking as I was a little nervous about that bit. Also as I ended up making a 25 minute video and the Youtube limit is 10 minutes I had to speed it up a bit.
I used Corel VideoStudio, let me know if you use anything that you think might make life easier for me as it was also my first time using the program.
Anyways, without further ado, here is my video - enjoy!!
Here is a still picture of the finished design :)

Butterfly Nails
I realised the other day that it's been a while since I had a french manicure and thought I would use my art deco nail set to spice it up a little bit. I used my Nailene french manicure set, the french pink has small glitter detail so it gleams! The nail pen doesn't go on as well as I hoped...it appears cracked once it has dried... But you can't see this very easily from a distance.
I used black nail varnish to apply the art deco nail plate detail and then used the Nailene top coat. I chose to use a butterfly stencil as I've seen quite a few about recently. I haven't used the art deco set before and it can get quite messy when trying out the stamps for the first time...using black is even worse!
