Hi all, well 200 posts, that's certainly an achievement for me! Some days I hardly find the time to blog, but I'm happy to know there are always people out there interested in what I am writing :)
For Christmas I got a few new bits of clothes - but no makeup and I haven't been buying any in the sales either - I've actually been super good. Hoping it means paying for the wedding will be a bit easier!!
Anyways, today I fancied a bit of gray...the weather hasn't been great! But then I felt it looked a bit sad and lonely so have divided my nail up diagonally with another silvery gray shade and separated it with a white line.
My pictures aren't great as I did my nails as quick as I could and the bottom layer wasn't quite dry enough for the "straight line using sellotape" trick. Nevermind, it's not something you notice up close as I don't know who would be getting that close to my nails in real life!!
Nail varnishes used:
No.7 Base Coat
Collection 2000 Hot Looks Fast Dry in Wham (27)
No.7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Night Silver (62)
P.s. if you have any ideas for me as to what posts I can do in 2012 please let me know - I am hoping to have a strong year of blogging and vlogging up ahead, and would really love to get my followers to 100 by the end of next year!! Thanks for reading xoxo

Christmas Stocking
Hi my lovelies, hope you all had a great Christmas!
My partner and I decided we wouldn't spend too much on each other this year as we are saving for our wedding. We therefore agreed to a £20 stocking budget, here's what I got:

I'm really excited to start reading Eat, Pray, Love and want to finish it before I see the film. I say this quite often when novels are turned into films, but it doesn't normally happen - I think it's only the Shopaholic series and Harry Potter that I've read first...I even caved and watched Lovely Bones before reading the book. I used the hair glitter spray on Christmas day to give my hair a little bit more oompf, it was much better than I thought it would be - I thought it would look a bit tacky, but the glitter and sparkle was great!
I have tried the new MUA blush and my first impressions are good, I will do an MUA review series at some point because I have a variety of different products and shades. I also am intrigued to try the blue Collection 2000 mascara - I've wanted one for a while...it's a bit more daring than the usual black/brown shades I usually wear.
Anyway I'm really happy with my little gifts. Then I was pleasantly surprised when I got more :) I will tell you more tomorrow as it's quite late at the moment. What did you get for Christmas??

FOTD - Aromaleigh Day 6
This series of Aromaleigh looks seems to have gone by really quickly! Today I have a more neutral look, I am still dying to get an UD Naked palette, but haven't got the money at the moment! Although it's a neutral look it shows that they don't have to be boring and I really like the way it turned out, even if I wasn't so sure when I started adding my crease colour.

Bongo Beat Nails
When I first saw this shade of nail polish I thought it would be my dupe of Peacock Green by Models Own, to stop me buying it, but I ordered it yesterday - hopefully it will arrive soon. My partner said that Peacock green had slightly more blue in it...so if he says they are different colours I can definitely justify having both!!
Peacock Green
In the mean time I decided to use Bongo Beat for a nail design using my art deco stamps, as I have been wanting to do a 2 colour stamp for a while. This colour makes both black and white stand out so it was the perfect choice.
I thought I would do something a bit different so I've also used a silver glitter by art deco for my nail tips. What do you think??

August & September Favourites
I only just realised I had missed out my August Favourite so I'll do them both together as we're almost at the end of September now! Scary really, it's almost Christmas!!
AUGUST
Arguebly the best mascara I've ever used. I've found it made my eyelashes look a lot longer, and somehow that there were more of them!! Either that, or I'm rubbish at using normal mascara and this helped me apply because it actually says what you're supposed to use each of the three different parts of the wand for! The tip is for applying the mascara, one side is for making your lashes longer and the other side is for separating lashes!! Brilliant.
SEPTEMBER
These are my new favourite nail varnishes, £1.79 each or 3 for £5!! I actually purchased a purple shade first, but when I got it home I realised I already owned a very similar colour, so got the red shade instead! I am hoping to apply Bongo Beat today, I am soooooooo in love with it and it's one of the first shades I have seen that can work as a dupe for Models Own - Peacock Green (which I wanted as soon as I saw it on the website and still do!).
Anything you're loving at the moment? Please let me know! Thanks for reading! xx

Night Out Nails
I bought a few new nail varnishes the other day, only 3 for £5 in Superdrug - Collection 2000. I got Wham, Teeny Bikini and Bongo Beat. I liked the way wham and teeny bikini went together so decided to use an art deco stamp in black and white.
I really liked the colour of wham, but it required 3 coats to make it opaque. Shame it would use up a lot of nail varnish this way, but the overall finish was very satisfying. Sometimes the nail varnish can dry bubbly when you apply a few coats.
The teeny bikini seemed to get better with more coats, I used three to match wham, but you could easily leave it with one coat.
The art deco went on very easily, it hardly even smudged when applying a top coat, which quite often happens.
