Models Own Green Flash

It's all gone green lately, I don't know why, but it's kind of ironic since all the green is disappearing from the trees!

Here is my new mani...I will probably be updating the look either later tonight, or tomorrow with some nail art - I was thinking dark green, but I'm not too sure how that will look...maybe play it safe and stick with black...

But for now here are the photos:

I attended my friend's wedding reception on Saturday evening so thought it was the perfect time to do a new make up look. Again I focussed on my eyes, but I used a cheek tint for the first time. Updated: Models Own Mani

I updated my "Feeling Blue" mani today, with a bit of black and white nail art. I decided to stick with something simple, but I still think it looks pretty cool.

The fiance even wanted to get involved so did the black and white nail art on my right thumbnail!

I don't very often do silvery/grey smoky eyes, but I actually like this...am loving the mUA shades so far, lets see what I can do with the purples or greens next!!

Wet n Wild Mega Length Double Action Mascara

Hey everyone, this is probably going to be my bargain of the month, possibly even ever!! I picked this mascara up from our 99p Store. I've bought many an item from here, I think it's mainly because they sell good brands at a reduced price - sometimes when items have been discontinued.

Today's post is about a recent Wet n Wild mascara I purchased. The packaging is pretty standard, and you could say very simple. However this doesn't matter to me, I will normally buy a mascara either through curiousity or recommendation. This time was curiousity as I've only ever bought one Wet n Wild item, which was my first black nail polish.

(I apologise for using a stock photo but the light made it very difficult to read the silver section)

The first picture is how I looked when I woke up this morning, so I don't look great, but it was necessary for the purposes of this post. I am without any make up as I wanted to show you how small my lashes are without mascara..

The second picture is of me with the white mascara primer on, which is used to lengthen the lashes.

The third picture is how I looked after 1 coat of the black end of the mascara, which is used to add volume and length to the lashes. I have to say my first impression of this mascara is amazing. It's so easy to apply, it doesn't dry to quickly but doesn't take too long either and you don't need to use more than 1 coat to get great effects! Overall I think this is worth way more than 99p!!

What items have you been impressed with?

Models Own NOTD Mani

I decided it was time to paint my nails again! I wanted to use one of my new Models Onw shades and I picked Feeling Blue. I suppose it kinda also represents how people feel as it goes from Summer to Autumn (fall), when here in the UK we start getting a lot more rain, and it gets light way too late and dark way too early!!

So here it is, I think it's an absolutely lovely shade, and it could sure cheer me up if I was feeling blue!

Please excuse the messiness, I will probably be adding some white nail art tomrrow so I will do clean up then too, as its time for bed now!

I have a spare of this colour, and I will be giving it away when I reach 25 bloggers. I will let you know when the time comes and what you need to do! :)

What colours are you loving for autumn/fall 2010??

MUA Haul

So my partner got a PS3 yesterday and I got make up, fair deal? Probably not. The make up I chose was from Superdrug, by brand MUA. This was the only beauty shop we needed to go past in order to get back from Argos to our house. The items were reduced to £1 each so I picked up 20!!

I went through all 20 shades of eyeshadow and these are pretty much all the ones I liked, I also thought they went well together in the groups of four I placed them in for the photos, so I now have my custom built  MUA quads :)

I already had the majority of shades of nail polish they did so didn't purchase any. I wasn't too keen on the colours they had for their glitter dust, they don't compare to the bright shades of Barry M. I saw bright green and blue mascara, but thought I probably wouldn't end up wearing it so instead bought a few more liquid eyeliners - I really must start wearing these more now that I have over 10 different colours. I also bought a clear mascara which I have been contemplating purchasing for a while, but hadn't come across one I was drawn to. But this was just too tempting to refuse!

Do you own any make up by MUA?

New ID Studios in London

Last Friday I treated myself and my mum to a deluxe makeover and photoshoot in Oxford Circus, London. We arrived at 11am and were given some Bucks Fizz, then had our hair washed, cut, blow dried and styled. We then had our make up consultation and application. I purchased a few bits for myself and for my mum whilst we were waiting for our photographer.

We had 3 outfit changes, 1 casual and 2 dresses. I bought all the photos as a present to my mum, she'd never done anything like this and she looked amazing!! She realised she had never been shopping for clothes in London before either, unfortunately we only left New ID at 4.30 so only managed to visit Topshop, H&M, Jane Norman and Dorothy Perkins before getting our 6.30 train home. I did manage to spend about another £200 though! We only live once eh!

This is how one of my pictures came out:

The make up I bought is below:-

New ID I-Perfect Colour Adjust Foundation in Vanilla
New ID I-Conceal Brush On Fluid Concealer in Medium
New ID I-Glow Shimmer Powder with Mirror in Ice Pop
New ID I-Bronze Compact Powder Bronzer with Mirror in Rio
New ID I-Shadow Eye Shadow Quad with Mirror in Choca Mocha

Free New ID I-Shimmer Shimmer Stick with Blending Sponge in Sherbert.

Total cost £107.50

Pretty expensive day, but I don't do it often! Is there anything you've spent a lot on this month??
